A Note From Tricia Wanamaker

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been doodling on anything I could get my hands on. Notebooks, textbooks, exams, walls, doors, stalls, floors, you name it and I’ve probably left my artistic mark. I’ve spent the better part of my life with various art mediums and photography as the hobby to my other service industry jobs that paid the bills. Art is what has always helped keep me rooted in life, help keep my feet on the ground.  

 

When the pandemic hit in 2020, I took a leap of faith and started to put my art into the world in ways I never had before. As I've entered and continued on this new career path in my 30s, I realize that this path was meant for me all along. Whether it's paying homage to pop culture references, painting portraits of people's dearly beloved pets, capturing a moment in time, or bringing life to the ideas that float through my mind, it makes me truly happy.

 

And if my art can put a smile on someone else’s face too, then my work is truly complete.
